3DP Chip 24.02

We often times bloat our computers with all sorts of software programs and then we wonder why they run slower and slower. I think I have found a perfect analogy here. Just as you need to stay away from junk food, your computer needs to stay free of code that might slow it down. Also as you need vitamins and minerals provided from the natural realm, your PC needs software drivers directly from the manufacturers. I might also add that your computer needs to have its innards dusted just like you need a shower from time to time, but since I don't want to offend anyone, I won't mention it.

Who needs convenience?

3DP Chip is system driver manager. It checks the versions of hardware drivers and offers a quick way to update them. The main components are shown in a list with status icon showing their status. To update a driver, 3DP Chip opens a link on your default browser. You will then download the driver from there. It is a tad inconvenient, but you should keep in mind that you won't be using 3DP Chip every day. At every launch, it will check for new drivers and you will see at a glance if you need any upgrade.

As a secondary feature 3DP Chip can backup current drivers. You can also theoretically restore them, but you will need to play the detective to find the backup file unfortunately.

Conclusion

Although 3DP Chip looks about as archaic as its name, it is lightweight and gets the job done. Install it and check your drivers. You might be surprised to see how starving your system might be for fresh drivers.
